Life decisions took her in another direction with her art. She attended Buffalo State College for her Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education but instead pursued a career in graphic arts.
Further down the path, life had more twists and turns. Marriage into the military life gave her the opportunity to live and work in various places around the world. During that time she never stopped creating in many ways and mediums as a hobbyist. Now as an empty nester she has returned to her origins where she grew up and where her first love of oil landscapes was revived. She is now considered a professional artist in the Western New York area. Ruth can be seen displaying her work at WNY fine art shows or at River Art Gallery and Gifts. You may see her out plein air painting. Please stop and say hello. |
